BAAGG was organized in 1999 as the Birmingham African American Genealogy Study Group under the Birmingham Genealogical Society (BGS). Our Group is incorporated in Jefferson County, Alabama and is a 501(c)3 entity under the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Code.
